A German media source claims that Ukrainians might be involved in sabotaging the Nord Stream pipelines.
In an investigation by the German media companies NDR, WDR, and the newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung with the participation of Swedish Expressen, Polish Frontstory, and Danish Berlingske regarding the explosions that damaged the Russian gas pipelines Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2, new clues appear to lead to Ukraine.
First, that the yacht Andromeda, which appeared in the investigation, was rented by a Polish travel agency owned by Ukrainians. The company did not have significant turnover for many years, and in 2020, €2.8M was deposited into its accounts.
Second, since September 2021, the company’s president and shareholder is a woman living in Kyiv. Journalists believe this is a front person for the special services, which often use such tactics to disguise the financing of their operations.
Third, German law enforcement officers uncovered another trail that leads to Ukraine. The yacht was rented by a 25-year-old man, former military, who lives southeast of Kyiv.
