A Finnish company invests €7.3M in production and warehouse distribution facilities in the Kyiv region.

Finnish fast-food chain Hesburger has opened a burger patty production facility, along with a warehouse and distribution center in Boryspil, Kyiv region. The project’s total investment has reached €7.3M, marking the first Finnish industrial investment in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion. The production and logistics center will create 10 new jobs, and overall, Hesburger has already employed 75 people in Ukraine.

“The opening of this new industrial facility and warehouse marks a significant step forward in strengthening our competitive position within Ukraine. It also provides us the opportunity to produce our delicious products using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, bringing the Hesburger flavor to our customers,” says Kari Salmela, CEO of Hesburger Finland.

This year the company plans to expand its restaurant network in Ukraine but emphasizes that its primary goal is the restoration of peace.

Hesburger currently operates seven restaurants in the Kyiv region and has been active in the fast-food market for over 50 years, boasting nearly 500 restaurants across nine countries.
