A European building materials manufacturer plans to establish a plant in Western Ukraine.

Calmit GmbH from Austria, which specializes in lime and building materials, aims to construct a facility in the Batiovo community in Transcarpathia. Batiovo meets customer needs, such as its close proximity to the border, available connections to both broad- and narrow-gauge railways, and the capacity to enhance logistics for raw materials and finished products in the future.

Meanwhile, in the Rivne region, Rivne Flex produces packaging and various polymer materials for everyday use. Founded in 2007, it is one of the five largest Ukrainian enterprises in the flexographic printing sector. The facility is equipped with cutting-edge printing technology and produces over 5,000 products. Despite the ongoing war, the enterprise, which employs 60 individuals, continues to expand and maintain its production momentum as it seeks to open a new production facility. Currently, Rivne Flex has started experimental production of paving stones made from waste materials. Additionally, powerful solar panels and an eco-friendly boiler have already been installed at the site.
