A Canadian company will acquire several solar power plant in Ivano-Frankivsk, increasing its Ukrainian portfolio to seven plants.

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has granted permission to TIU 1, part of the Canadian group TIU Canada, to acquire control over four solar power plants in Ivano-Frankivsk. The company will acquire more than 50% of the shares of authorized capital of four electricity generating enterprises. These solar power plants belong to SPP Development Ukraine. To date, the company has developed solar power projects with more than 114 MW of capacity in more than 20 cities throughout Ukraine. TIU Canada is one of the leaders of Ukrainian alternative energy. Since 2016, the company has invested more than $65M in the development of solar energy through its Refraction Fund 1. Currently, TIU Canada operates three solar power plants with a total capacity of 44 MW. The company’s revenue for 2023 increased by 38% compared to the previous year, reaching ₴267M.
