DTEK is investing €450M in the construction of the second stage of the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant.

This is the largest private investment in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. The project will be the largest wind farm in Eastern Europe to be built in the last decade.

To implement the project, DTEK has obtained €370M in loans from international banks and led by Danske Bank, supported by the Export-Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO). EIFO has already financed more than 15 projects in Ukraine. These funds will be used to purchase 64 turbines from Vestas, a leading wind turbine manufacturer.

The construction of the Tyligulska wind farm in the Mykolaiv region will continue until 2026, when the wind farm’s capacity will increase from 114 to 500 MW. Annual electricity production after the second stage’s launch will increase to 1.7 TWh, which is enough to provide electricity to 900,000 households.

DTEK also plans to build a 650 MW wind farm in the Poltava region and install 200 MW of battery systems for energy storage. By 2030, the company plans to increase renewable energy capacity in Ukraine to 2 GW.
