Ukraine has presented Japan with priority projects for investment in 2025.

Ukraine has presented the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with 2025’s priority projects for financing. These are in finance, infrastructure, energy, the agricultural sector, humanitarian demining, environmental protection, healthcare, education, the social sphere, digitalization, and industrial development.

The Ukrainian delegation called on JICA to support projects that will create joint ventures, supply spare parts for machinery and equipment, and restore destroyed industrial facilities. Ukraine asked for distributed energy generation equipment and solar power plants for critical infrastructure. JICA has been asked to contribute to initiatives from the Unified Portfolio of Public Investment Projects. For private projects, Japan was called on to support the creation of a Project Preparation Facility, which will help businesses prepare high-quality projects.

In addition, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Japan Business Federation Keidanren signed a memorandum that provides for the expansion of cooperation to support Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction and the expansion of bilateral cooperation. It is noted that Japanese companies are already actively entering the market, and more than 40 Japanese companies are currently working in Ukraine.
