Ukraine’s largest alternative electricity producer – Elementum Energy, owned by the international VR Capital Group, has launched a 200 MW wind farm project in western Ukraine. The power plant will be built an the intersection of the Lviv, Ternopil, and Rivne regions, and the project’s total investment is over €300M. In Volyn, construction of a wind farm consisting of over 20 wind turbines is underway. In the Khmelnytskyi region, construction of one of two wind power plants with a capacity of two MW is being completed.

In 2022-2024, over 860 MW of new renewable energy capacity has been commissioned in Ukraine.
