UMAEF launched a $50M investment program for Ukrainian businesses.

Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF) has announced the launch of a new $50M direct investment program to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ukraine and Moldova. The program is aimed at SMEs with annual turnover of at least $5M. Funding for $1-3M can be allocated for businesses and directed to various needs, such as:

  1. overcoming difficulties associated with war
  2. implementation of new prospects
  3. investment in growth

The SME direct investment program will involve both equity and quasi-equity. In this way, businesses can choose the type of financing that will best contribute to realizing their strategic goals. The UMAEF program aims to attract additional foreign and domestic investment to promote sustainable development. The fund, in addition to financial support, will share knowledge and experience with businesses.

UMAEF is the first regional direct investment fund in Ukraine and Moldova, with capital of $285M and over 29 years of experience investing in SMEs. The program is funded by the US government through USAID.
