In June, Ukrainians’ consumer sentiment worsened sharply.

The Ukrainian consumer sentiment index decreased by eight points in June to 64.5. According to a study, all components of the indicator decreased. The index of the current situation has decreased to 50.9 points, which is 4.7 points lower than in May. At the same time, Ukrainians are not expecting further improvement in these situations:

1. The index of expected changes in personal financial situation was 69.8 (-12.1 points against May);
2. The index of expected development of the country’s economy during the next year is 56 (-10.3);
3. The index of expected development of the country’s economy over the next five years is 95.1 (-8.3).

The index of expected dynamics of unemployment decreased by 1.7 last month to 124.3. The index of inflation expectations increased by 11.7 points to 188, and the index of devaluation expectations increased by 12 points to 167.

“Uncertainty continues to have a significant impact both on the current situation among the Ukrainian population and on the components related to the future,” analysts commented on the results of their research.
