UZ plans to build a gas generation plant with a capacity of 250 MW.
The state company Ukrainian Railways (UZ) plans to build gas power plants with a total capacity of 250 MW in various regions. UZ is among the five largest distribution companies in the country in terms of network length and flow volumes.
Electricity generation will allow the company to partially provide its own power needs for critical infrastructure facilities and consumers throughout Ukraine that are connected to the UZ distribution network. The total electricity needs of the state railway company have reached 300 MW. UZ can start implementing the project in the next three months.
Currently, the company is looking for funding sources and is negotiating to attract grants and international financial assistance. Negotiations with equipment suppliers are also ongoing.
