Transcarpathia and Cherkasy will launch industrial parks with processing enterprises that will create more than 6,000 jobs.
The Cabinet of Ministers included the Tyachiv industrial park in Zakarpattia and the Smila industrial park in the Cherkasy region to the state’s Register of Industrial Parks.
The Tyachiv industrial park concept will create 3,100 new jobs in the processing industry on an area of 61.47 hectares. The park will house production of glass and glass goods, enterprises for processing wood, and decorative and building stone. It is also planned to engage in scientific and technical activities that include information and telecommunications, alternative energy, energy storage, and other compatible industries on the park’s territory.
The Smila industrial park will be located on 61.32 hectares and create up to 3,000 jobs processing agricultural products and conducting scientific and technical research. Investors also plan to manufacture components and equipment for wind and solar power plants, energy storage, plants for producing biomethane, and many other things necessary for the Ukrainian energy industry’s recovery.
