Ukraine attacked the four largest Russian refineries in a single day.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported that on the night of March 13, the SBU attacked three Russian oil refineries in Ryazan, Kstovo (Nizhny Novgorod region), and Kirishi (Leningrad region). These factories are among the five largest in the Russian Federation.
At the Ryazan plant, two of the four primary oil processing plants, which account for about 70% of the plant’s capacity, were damaged due to drone strikes.
Also, after Ukrainian intelligence struck the Novoshakhty Oil Products Plant in the Rostov region, the enterprise ceased its operations.
“We are systematically implementing a detailed strategy to reduce the economic potential of the Russian Federation. Our task is to deprive the enemy of resources and reduce the flow of oil money and fuel, which Moscow directs directly to the war, to the murders of our citizens,” the law enforcement officers added.
In addition to the drop in fuel exports, these attacks led to a price increase in gasoline and diesel on Russian stock exchanges by 0.8-1.4%.
