The EIB allocates almost €100M to Ukraine for recovery.
The European Investment Bank has assisted the Ukrainian government with €99.6M to reconstruct about 200 facilities in 18 regions. The funds will be used for capital repairs, reconstruction, and construction of new hospitals, public buildings, social housing, and sewage and water supply facilities. This is expected to improve the living conditions of approximately 900,000 internally displaced persons.
Program of Early Assistance in the Recovery of Ukraine and Program of Recovery of Ukraine are two multi-sectoral framework credit agreements between the EIB and Ukraine. With a total volume of €540M, these programs play an important role in helping Ukraine. 100 projects have been completed within the Program of Early Recovery of Ukraine, and more than 60 projects are at various stages of construction. As part of the Ukraine Recovery Program, 141 projects for recovery throughout Ukraine have been identified.
Since the beginning of the war, the EIB’s support of Ukraine has reached €1.7B in financing for the urgent repair of destroyed infrastructure.
