Volumes of exported cargo transported by rail reached the highest level since the beginning of the war.
In November, Ukrainian Railways (UZ) exported the largest amount cargo since the start of the Russian invasion – 6.1 million tons, 25% more than in October this year and 56% more than in November 2022.
According to the nomenclature of cargoes in November, the first place in exports was grain – 2.43 million tons (39.9%), only marginally lower was ore – 2.32 million tons (38.1%), in third place – ferrous metals 0.41 million tons (6.7%).
Transportation of grain to the ports in November amounted to 1.7 million tons, which is 70% more than in October. At the same time, transportation toward western border crossings decreased by 4.2%, to 717,600 tons, compared to October.
Also compared to October, the volume of iron ore exports in November increased by 66% and amounted to 1.3 million tons in the direction of the seaports. The volumes of transportated ferrous metals increased by 50%.
