Ukrainian banks increased earnings by 100% compared to the last pre-war year.
Through ten months of the year, Ukrainian banks earned ₴122.7B, more than twice as much as in the corresponding period of 2021, when their collective profit was ₴58.35B.
State-owned PrivatBank and Oschadbank generated half of the total profit. PrivatBank doubled its profit to ₴41.7B, while Oschadbank increased its earnings by 1,900% to ₴14.58B. Currently, the share of state banks’ profit is 61%.
All 14 banks with foreign capital also achieved positive results for the 10 months. The total profit of these banks reached ₴30.43B, or 60% more than in 2021. However, the share of foreign banks in the total profit decreased to 25%. Raiffeisen Bank is the leader in this group, with a profit this year of ₴6.89B, 70% more than in 2021.
Banks with private capital increased their profit by 70%, but their share decreased to 14%. Ukrainian private bank PUMB remains the leader of the group with a profit of ₴6.48B, with almost twice as much it earned in 2021.
