Agrarian analysts predict that Ukrainian wheat prices at seaports will increase.

According to the Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC), prices for Ukrainian wheat in the seaports of the Odesa region are expected to rise. It is predicted that in Odessa, prices will go up by $3-$5 per ton in December and January. This is expected because wheat trade in the Danube ports has practically stopped. Odesa ports are trading at conventional prices of $145-$148 per ton of fodder wheat and over $170 for food grade.

At the same time, Ukrainian wheat is in high demand in Asian markets, where prices remain competitive, fluctuating around $277 per ton. For comparison, Australian wheat costs about $300 per ton in these markets.

Experts also note the growth of exported wheat shipments from Ukraine. As of December 4, the export volume was 100,000 tons out of the 1.2 million tons contracted for this month. It is predicted that Ukraine will reach an export level of 1.3-1.5 million tons in December and January due to efficient operation of seaports and significant demand for wheat on the world market.
