Around 1000 trucks have already been blocked at the border with Poland, and the situation will worsen.

As of the morning of November 8, a thousand trucks are waiting to cross from Poland to Ukraine at these three checkpoints: Yagodin-Dorogusk, Krakovec-Korchova, and Rava-Ruska-Hrebene. According to the State Border Service spokesman, Andrii Demchenko, the situation will become more complicated, as Polish carriers promise a long-term campaign.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, two to three times fewer trucks than usual now cross through the border checkpoints between Ukraine and Poland due to the strike. On the eve of the strike, on November 5, 936 trucks left through the blocked three points.

According to the Ministry’s calculations, Ukraine loses up to 1,000 trucks that could make commercial trips to Europe for each day of blockade of checkpoints. After all, until November 6, the Yagodin – Dorogusk checkpoint allowed an average of 1,430 vehicles in both directions daily. Rava-Ruska and Krakovec let 200-300 through each.

So far, humanitarian goods and passenger transport are able to pass through all three checkpoints.
