Ukraine hits the Saki airfield in Crimea with a large-scale missile and drone attack.
On the night of September 21, a joint action between the SBU and the Ukrainian Naval Forces struck the Saki military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. At the time of the attack, the airfield had at least 12 Russian Su-24 and Su-30 aircraft and Pantsir MANPADS. In addition, there was a training base for Mojaher UAV operators, which the Russians used for strikes in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military claimed that the occupiers’ equipment was seriously damaged. To defeat the enemy, Ukrainian defenders used drones that overloaded Russian air defense and then launched Neptune missiles.
Russian Telegram channels confirm destruction and casualties at the airfield and claim at least 30 dead. Russian information resources believe that this attack is the largest since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
A day earlier, Ukrainian troops launched a missile attack on the command post of the Russian Black Sea Fleet near Sevastopol. As a result of the attack, enemy troops and expensive military equipment have been destroyed.
