Ukraine has nationalized one of Europe’s largest engine factories.

According to the SBU, the nationalization of 100% of the authorized capital of Motordetal-Konotop in the Sumy Region is complete. This enterprise produces cylinder liners for engines. The enterprise can manufacture more than 1,500 types of sleeves for any automotive equipment, ships, and locomotives. It has a foundry, two machining shops, and auxiliary shops.

It is reported that the Higher Anti-Corruption Court has satisfied the lawsuit from the Ministry of Justice for Ukraine’s collection of assets belonging to the sanctioned senator of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Serhiy Kalashnyk.

Before the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian Kalashnyk plant’s products were supplied for the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex. In particular, the unique assembly plants of the Konotop plant were needed by the Russians to produce their warships.
