Epicenter-K has invested almost $200M to renovate and construct stores.
Despite significant losses, the company opened two new shopping centers in Kyiv and Lviv last year and renovated two existing shopping centers in Ivano-Frankivsk and the capital of Ukraine. The total amount invested amounted to almost UAH 7B.
Currently, the company is building a new shopping center in Bucha on a site destroyed during the Russian occupation, said the top manager of Epicenter-K, Dmytro Tanko. Investment in the Lviv shopping center amounted to about UAH2.9B and in Kyiv, UAH 1.8B.
The renovation of the shopping center in Bucha involves a significant upgrade to the facility and a completely new design with underground parking, dual-purpose facilities, solar panels on the roof, etc.
According to a similar concept, the reconstruction of the Chabany complex is underway, with an expansion of up to 95,000 square meters. The opening of both shopping centers is planned for 2024. This year, the company plans to reconstruct ten more stores.
