More than 20 companies, including KFC and Mercedes-Benz, left the Russian market in April.
According to a KSE Institute study only 18.2% of foreign companies that had opened local operations and processed sales in Russia have completely ceased their activities and finally left the Russian market. At the same time, 27.4% are waiting, and 23.7% of companies with foreign investment continue to work in the aggressor’s country without restrictions. Another 30.7% announced plans to close their activities and leave the Russian Federation soon.
In general, 233 international companies, 7.3% of the total, completely stopped working in Russia. And 1,203 foreign businesses (37.8%) closed operations and declared their intention to leave the country. But 1,240 (38.9%) companies will not leave the Russian market yet and are working without changes.
The companies that left the Russian market had an annual income of $55.4B and an asset value of $49.2B.
