The demand for smartphones and mobile phones in Ukraine has fallen to a record low.

Last year, sales of smartphones in Ukraine fell by almost a third, with push-button mobile phones falling by 42.2%, according to GfK Ukraine. So, in 2022, 657,000 mobile push-button phones were sold, 42.2% less than the previous year. At the same time, in monetary terms, the market fell more modestly by 28%, reaching UAH 528M. At the same time, 3.3 million smartphones were sold, which is 32% less than the previous year. The monetary volume of the market decreased by 11.4% to UAH 29.9B. Analysts noted that the reduction in sales of push-button phones is a long-standing trend in Ukraine. And fewer smartphones were bought due to the general increase in the price of imported equipment by 30%.
