The European Commission will announce the presentation of a financial assistance plan for Ukraine in the coming weeks,
EC Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis said. According to Dombrovskis, Ukraine’s financing needs are growing. Therefore, a more strategic financing plan should be considered to ensure Ukraine’s economic stability. “The members of the G7 are helping to support Ukraine, and now others should also step up,” Dombrovskis emphasized. He pointed out the importance of the Western democratic world’s unity regarding the provision of all necessary Ukrainian support and applying sanction pressure on the aggressor. The vice president added that his meetings in Washington with representatives from various countries as well as European and other international financial institutions confirm the readiness to follow this course. “We are working in the EU to ensure stable and predictable EU funding for Ukraine over the next year and then the transition to post-war recovery,” Dombrovskis said.
