Ukraine plans to export electricity to Poland.
Tuesday, March 29, 2022
Ukraine has resumed daily auctions for the distribution of interstate crossings to export electricity to Poland, stated Ukrenergo. This is the first auction since the unification of Ukraine’s energy system with the ENTSO-E continental European power grid. There are no commercial exchanges between the Ukrainian and European power systems, which operate synchronously. This condition was stipulated in the agreement between Ukrenergo and ENTSO-E for the trial period of synchronous operation. The first auction was on March 28, and the date of delivery will be March 30 (actual export start date). The cross-sectional volume put up for auction is 210 MW (hourly).
