Ukraine’s cybersecurity office prevented 121 cyberattacks.

Specialists of the Security Service (SBU) Cyber Security Situation Center stopped and neutralized 121 cyber-attacks on government information systems in January 2022, the SBU press service reported. This was done by directly analyzing more than 25,000 critical information security incidents identified that month. The main types of detected cyber threats (hacker attacks) were:

  • connection with command-and-control servers (C&C Server)
  • attempts to gain unauthorized access (Brute Force Attack)
  • attacks on web applications (Web App Attack)
  • malware
