Germany calls the Normandy four meeting session to de-escalate tensions at Ukraine’s borders.

The German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz said that a new meeting with the Norman format (Ukraine, Germany, France, and Russia) would be held soon. “Our common task is to do everything to achieve the de-escalation of the current situation within the borders of Ukraine. We have made it clear that in case of any further aggression, there will be serious consequences, and we are united in this,” said Scholz during a briefing in Berlin. The chancellor further added that he and The French President, Emmanuel Macron are trying to put the Norman format in motion and restore contact between Ukraine and Russia. At the same time, the German chancellor did not specify when the meeting would take place or the negotiators’ level.
