Ukraine will reduce carbon emissions by 56.6 mln tons annually.

The National Energy Efficiency Action Plan for the period up to 2030 envisages an annual reduction of carbon emissions in Ukraine by 56.6 million tons”, said Minister of Energy, Herman Galushchenko. He noted that by 2030, energy consumption is projected to be reduced by 22.3% compared to the baseline scenario for primary consumption and 17.1% for secondary consumption. “The action plan provides the implementation of energy efficiency measures in various sectors of the economy: housing and budget sectors, transport, industry, energy”, said Galushchenko.
