39% of Ukrainians have lost their jobs because of the war.

The number of people who lost their jobs due to the war has begun to increase again, as shown by a survey from the Rating sociological group. In June the percentage was 35%, and in July this increased to 39%. The situation worsened even in the relatively calm western Ukraine (from 27% to 32%) and in central Ukraine (from 29% to 37%). In the east, the situation is even worse – 57% of respondents who had a job before the war said that they are not working now. In general, 34% of Ukrainian respondents said that they are working normally, 19% – partially or remotely, 6% – have started working in a new job. Among those who lost their jobs during the war, only a third are actively looking for one now. Another 23% are thinking about it, and 41% are taking a wait-and-see attitude.
