Swedish businesses will expand their presence in Ukraine, and Finnish business agencies will open a representative office in Kyiv.

The Swedish business community is interested in increasing its presence in Ukraine and developing cooperation with Ukrainian companies in high-tech industries, energy, telecommunications, and cyber security.

The Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, and the Minister of Energy, Business and Industry of Sweden, Ebba Busch, discussed increasing support for Ukraine’s energy sector over the next three years and investment in other priority economic sectors.  Also, the Swedish Export Credit Agency will provide war risk insurance for Swedish investors.

Ukrainian Minister of Energy German Galushchenko and Busch discussed deepening cooperation between the countries in the nuclear industry, particularly to oust Russia from the nuclear fuel and atomic technology markets in Europe.

Moreover, the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry EastCham will open a joint office in Kyiv to help Finnish companies participate in Ukraine’s reconstruction projects and work in the Ukrainian market.
