Leaders of Ukraine’s energy sector increased their revenues by 8%.

The combined income of Ukraine’s top ten energy companies in 2023 amounted to almost ₴745.9B, 8% more than in 2022 (₴688.45B). Half of the companies in the top ten are state-owned, and four more belong to System Capital Management (SCM Holding). Eight companies from the top ten are engaged in the production and trade of electricity, and two more are in the gas trade.

D.Trading, from the SCM group, topped the rating for the second year in a row. The company’s revenue increased by 15% to ₴165.65B, and net profit by 30%.

At the same time, two other SCM Holding companies managed to achieve the largest growth in income. Kyiv Energy Services increased its income by 50% and Dnipro Energy Services by 33%. The combined income of the four companies from the SCM group amounted to ₴262.48B, i.e. 35% of the top ten’s combined income.

At the same time, two state-owned companies increased their income last year: Ukrhydroenergo by 30% and Energoatom by 15%. Ukrhydroenergo’s net profit of ₴17.3B turned out to be the largest among the 10 companies.
