Zelenskyy will present his Victory Plan at the Ramstein meeting on October 12 and propose concrete steps toward NATO membership.

“We will present the Victory Plan – clear, concrete steps to a fair end to the war. The determination of our partners and the strengthening of Ukraine is what can stop Russian aggression,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.

The meeting of allies is expected to take new steps to support Ukraine, particularly regarding its North Atlantic integration. Diplomatic sources from the Washington Post note that NATO countries are considering options for more specific support for Ukraine on its path to future membership.

After President Zelenskyy failed to convince Ukraine’s allies to permit strikes deep into the Russian Federation using Western missiles, Kyiv may receive other assistance. Ukraine is trying to convince American leader Joe Biden to support the Victory Plan, which could become part of his political legacy. However, the White House is cautious about making decisions that could affect the ongoing Democratic presidential campaign.
