Zelenskyy said that India can stop the Russian war against Ukraine, but instead, it chooses to help Russia import AI chips.
According to President Zelenskyy, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can influence the end of the war, as he is the head of a large state in terms of population, influence, and economy. The president emphasized that hindering the Russian economy, low energy prices and the continued efforts of the Russian defense and industrial complex will reduce Russia’s ability to fight, as well as shorten its war against Ukraine.
The Ukrainian leader also notes that the second Peace Summit could be held in any respectable world capital, particularly New Delhi. At the same time, Kyiv wants to hear proposals from other countries, including China, Brazil, EU members, and states from the African continent.
Despite being willing to help Ukraine to end the war, India acts as an essential intermediary in the supply of sanctioned Nvidia AI chips to Russia, helping the country to acquire $300M worth of the banned item.
