If everything is approved, they become an electronic resident and an electronic payer of the 3rd group single tax, without paying VAT. Then the new resident can open a bank account remotely and the bank will act as their tax agent. The new e-resident can works and pay 5% tax on income within the limit ($190,000) of the 3rd group FOP. If the new resident makes more than the limit, they will be liable for a 15% tax. These arrangements are only for external contracts for the export of services. All documents will be processed electronically and all payments will be cashless. The government will determine the list of countries whose citizens can become e-residents of Ukraine.
