Zelenskyy asks for the organization of €800M in electricity imports for Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asked for support in organizing the import of up to 2 GW of electricity to Ukraine this winter, worth about €800M at current prices, to fight against Russian energy terrorism. According to the Ukrainian president, for this to happen a decision from the European Network of System Operators of the Electricity Transmission System (ENTSO-E) to increase the import capacity is necessary. The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said at the international Solidarity with the Ukrainian People conference in Paris that the EU is working to increase the volume of electricity for export to Ukraine, Moldova, and other EU countries.
