ZAS Ventures will invest over $1M in Ukrainian startups in 2023.
The Ukrainian venture consulting firm’s current investments already amount to $650,000; by the end of the year, they may increase by another $500,000.
“By the end of the year, we will make three or four deals and invest up to half a million. Also, maybe one or two deals will be syndicated through ZAS Syndicate,” explained ZAS Ventures co-founder Andriy Zinchuk.
According to him, there are also about five startups where ZAS Ventures is involved in conducting investment risk assessment.
Zinchuk added that after the full-scale invasion, the firm focused on startups with exclusively Ukrainian founders. ZAS Syndicate recently invested $500,000 in Ukrainian startup ComeBack Mobility. ZAS Ventures’ share will be approximately 10%, considering their initial investment and a further option for $500,000.
Zinchuk noted the interest of foreign investors in Ukrainian military-tech and government-tech projects is high, however, it is still difficult for their founders to attract funds.
