Wizz Air will von EU-Städten nach Tschernowitz fliegen, sagte Präsident Poroschenko am vergangenen Wochenende bei einem Besuch in der Stadt, einem wachsenden Touristenziel. Im vergangenen Jahr stieg der Passagierverkehr nach Tschernowitz um 51% auf 73.075, fast ausschließlich auf dem UIA-Flug von Kiew Boryspil. Am 2. Mai fliegt SkyUp von Tschernowitz nach Antalya, Türkei. Poroschenko teilte ebenfalls mit, dass Vulkan Air, eine in Kiew ansässige Frachtfluggesellschaft, aktuell Flüge von Tschernowitz prüft. Am Samstag startete die Fluggesellschaft Bukowina einen wöchentlichen Flug von Rivne nach Sharm-el-Sheikh, Ägypten. Ein wöchentlicher Flug nach Antalya beginnt im Mai.
