With EU support, Ukrainian civil society launches a new project to monitor spending on recovery projects.
The Big Recovery Portal online platform will be developed by the non-government organization Technologies of Progress, announced an EU delegation to Ukraine. Analytics will be provided by the Center for Economic Strategy and the Institute of Economic and Political Research. The project aims to build a monitoring system for the expenditure of budget and donor funds independent from the government.
The Big Recovery Portal will have an open database of recovery projects. It will enable monitoring project costs, analyzing their priority, and involving activists and public organizations in monitoring specific projects.
The portal will interact with the DREAM digital recovery ecosystem, which the Ministry of Infrastructure is working on. It is also integrated with the Prozorro procurement system, the damaged.in.ua database of damaged objects, and other open data sources.
