Which Ukrainian retailers have stopped working during the war?

During the two years plus of the full-scale war, several companies have not been able to adapt to the new realities of commerce in wartime, and they had to significantly reduce or stop their activities altogether, according to the Retailers’ Association of Ukraine (RAU).

Following the start of the full-scale invasion, the food delivery service Rocket, which had been scaling up until then, closed down with millions of debt. Rocket was subsequently put through supervised bankruptcy.

In the fall of 2022, the postal operator Justin closed all its branches. One of the main reasons for Justin’s closure is dissatisfaction with the company’s results amid fierce competition, primarily with Nova Poshta.

In March 2024, the chain of Ringoo gadget stores closed 76 sales points in more than 50 cities in Ukraine.

Also, according to RAU, in February 2024 children’s online stores pampik.com and panama.ua ceased operations due to a shrinking market.

The L’Kafa Group restaurant chain is on the verge of closure.
