What new energy support did Ukraine’s allies promise?

The Netherlands allocated a new €209.5M aid package to Ukraine to restore critical energy infrastructure. In addition, the Netherlands will contribute €45M to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine and supply necessary equipment.

The Danish government allocated DKK 130M (€16M) to restore Ukraine’s energy infrastructure after massive Russian attacks. This contribution is one of the largest the country has made. The funds will be used to implement emergency measures and purchase equipment and spare parts to restore the energy supply’s security.

France will provide Ukraine with at least €60M by the end of this year.

In addition, Japan is preparing another energy aid package for Ukraine, which will include transformers, generators, and other equipment.

The Czech Republic has supplied Ukraine with 58 medium-sized cogeneration units and will soon hand over a new batch.

On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, EU High Representative Josep Borrell emphasized that the EU should increase the supply of equipment for Ukraine’s energy sector and air defense means.
