Warsaw offers Kyiv more than €100M in loans to repair military equipment, will contribute to the Czech initiative, and will work on transferring fighter jets.

The Polish government has offered Ukraine an intergovernmental loan of more than €100M for the purchase and repair of Polish equipment used by the Ukrainian military at Polish defense plants, the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry said. Poland has already provided Ukraine with 400 tanks, almost 50 Krab self-propelled guns, and other equipment.

Regarding the Czech initiative to purchase artillery ammunition, the minister said: “We are ready to allocate €50M this year and €50M next year.”

The minister also stated that Poland is considering the transfer of the next batch of equipment to Ukraine, particularly MIG-29 aircraft, in addition to the ten fighter jets that have already been transferred.

Meanwhile, the first high-level meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training, and Education Center (JATEC) took place in Poland. The first joint NATO-Ukraine organization aims  to strengthen  Ukrainian military capabilities, achieve interoperability, and accelerate Ukraine’s accession to the Alliance.
