UZ and Polskie Koleje Państwowe discuss the development of railroad infrastructure.
Ukrainian Railways (UZ) noted that significant progress has been made in cooperation between the railways of Ukraine and Poland over the past few years. New passenger routes have been launched, the cargo transportation situation has been regulated, and border crossing operations have been improved.
Polish Railways noted that a future joint declaration will strengthen its cooperation with UZ. The directions for development indicated in this document will allow the construction of a strategic partnership between PKP and UZ.
The Ukrainian-Polish team discussed improving rolling stock quality and expanding the offerings of seats on the Lviv-Warsaw via Rava-Ruska route; the possibility of providing convenient connections, particularly with trains to Berlin, Vienna, and Prague; and launching additional trains. The parties agreed to coordinate the preparation of railway infrastructure projects in their countries and at border crossings within the framework of the TEN-T European transport corridors.
