US Senior Advisor for Energy Security awaited in Kyiv.

Amos Hochstein, Senior Advisor for Energy Security to the US Secretary of State, will be discussing the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline with Ukrainian officials later this week. “His work is aimed at ensuring energy security in Europe and resolving issues related to the implementation of the agreement reached between the US President and the German Chancellor,” announced the Advisor to the Ukrainian Energy Minister Lana Zerkal. Germany has yet to certify the pipeline operator, a subsidiary of Gazprom – Nord Stream 2 AG, and the European Commission to confirm it.
