Ukrposhta’s amount of investment to establish a bank will be UAH 1.5B.

 Ukrposhta General Director Igor Smelyansky stated that the company’s investments in the bank acquisition could reach UAH 1.5B ($53.5M). This amount includes both the initial investment and its recapitalization and associated costs, Smelyansky said during a discussion at the Kyiv School of Economics on Tuesday. According to him, Ukrposhta sees Amazon and Kazakhstan’s Kaspi as its primary models, which combines mail, e-commerce, and banking. As a result, he expects that Ukrposhta Bank will become the third-largest bank in Ukraine, reported liga.net.
