Ukrainians increased their tax contributions to the Polish budget by 27% last year.

In 2024, Ukrainians paid nearly PLN 1.65B ($414M) to the Polish state budget in personal income taxes (PIT) and corporate income taxes (CIT), according to Gremi Personal analysts. This represents an increase of 27.7% compared to last year and 100% more than in 2022. Ukrainians accounted for 33.7% of total tax revenue from foreigners in 2024.

Experts suggest that the rise in tax revenue from foreign companies in Poland can be attributed to several factors, including:

  1. The introduction of tax reforms
  2. An increase in the minimum wage
  3. A rise in the number of registered Ukrainian entrepreneurs

The largest percentages of Ukrainians are employed in the following sectors: production – 29%, transport and logistics – 22%, administrative services – 16%, construction – 11%. It is expected that the taxes paid by Ukrainians will continue to increase.

Currently, about 1.55 million Ukrainian citizens reside in Poland, with 22% living in Warsaw.
