For the fifth year in a row, Ukrainians have received the largest number of resident permits in the European Union, reported Eurostat data. In 2020, Ukrainian citizens were issued 601,200 permits in the EU, making them the largest group of citizenship among all recipients. Employment was the main reason (86% of all first residence permits). Poland topped the list of European countries with the most certificates, mainly due to work – 81% (488,900 permits).
