Ukrainian gunsmiths are fostering cooperation with their British and Canadian counterparts.

The Ukrainian Gunsmiths Council has signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with the British ADS Group, which comprises over 1,500 companies in the aerospace and defense sector. The agreement includes exchanging information on industrial capabilities and innovative solutions, establishing a platform for joint production and research, and working to reduce regulatory barriers for Ukrainian products to enter the NATO and EU markets.
Simultaneously, Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Natalka Cmoc noted at the Black Sea Security Forum that our nation is transforming from a consumer to a manufacturer of weapons. She added that Canadian arms manufacturers are demonstrating active interest in collaboration with Ukraine, particularly in the production of drones and armored vehicles. Tsmots emphasized that discussions about assistance to Kyiv are transitioning from donations to investments, including the Danish model, and that this is a “win-win option” for Canada, Ukraine, and Europe.
Additionally, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha stated that Ukraine has scaled up its weapons production and can currently meet about 40% of its military needs.
