Ukrainian Government to invest in the development of sports infrastructure.

At the meeting of the Budget Committee, they announced the allocation of an additional ₴458.5 mln ($17.4 mln) in funding for the development of sports infrastructure to seven local regions, said Deputy Minister of Sports, Zhan Beleniuk. The local regions include Melitopol, Uman, Trostyanets, Rivne, Novakakhovka, Khmelnytsky, and Ternopil. Taking into account the impressive medal tally at the Tokyo Olympics and the Minister’s own record of success in the sporting arena, the trend is a positive outcome not just for budding sporting stars, but regions that can become incubators for future Olympic talent.
