Ukrainian farmers are investing in orchards and exporting products to the EU and the Middle East.

The Dniester Gardens company plans to plant 30 hectares of apricot trees in Bukovyna in 2025. This enterprise has been operating for 15 years and grows agricultural products on an area of 338 hectares. It is one of the largest modern garden enterprises in the Chernivtsi region, with 240 hectares of orchards, including 180 hectares of apple trees and 60 hectares of apricots.
The Dniester Gardens and Greenline enterprises, located nearby, jointly comprise the BUKOVITA trademark. The fruits grown by Dniester Gardens are supplied to both the Ukrainian market and exported to the EU (Sweden, Belgium) and the Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman).
Meanwhile, in the Cherkasy region a family business has been cultivating a pear orchard with 35,000 trees over an area of 12 hectares since 2013. The harvest depends on the weather; in 2022, 200 tons of pears were harvested, while last year saw a decrease of 20-30% due to a cold spring. The entrepreneurs are currently reinvesting almost all of their income into the orchard, particularly in irrigation, pest protection, and new seedlings.
