Ukrainian DroneUA aims to capture up to 5% of the American agricultural drone market.

According to Valery Yakovenko, co-founder of the drone systems company DroneUA, the first year of operation in the American market generated $15M in turnover for the company. After launching production in Newtown, Pennsylvania, DroneUA registered its own trademark in the US and earned federal contractor status. The company began assembling its first drones locally, using Ukrainian components.
“We want to establish DroneUA as a brand of equipment with Ukrainian roots,” Yakovenko said.
Currently, the company is focusing on the US agricultural sector, where planted land covers about 150 million hectares. The agricultural drone market in the US may require up to 150,000 devices per year, and DroneUA intends to capture 4-5% of this market. Drones for the US will be manufactured at the company’s Pennsylvania facility. DroneUA is a leading player in the Ukrainian agricultural robotics market. The company’s total turnover last year was $135M, including $15M in revenue from its US division. In Ukraine, DroneUA held a 52% share of the agricultural drone market prior to the war.
