Ukrainian agricultural exports in the first half of the year declined by 9%.

From January to June 2025, Ukraine exported $11.3B worth of agricultural products, which is 9% less than the corresponding period in the previous year. Agricultural exports account for about 57% of Ukraine’s total exports. The country’s primary export markets remain the EU countries ($5.386B), followed by Asia ($3.509B) and Africa ($1.474B). Overall, 10 countries – the largest importers – accounted for 60% of Ukraine’s agricultural export revenues. Ukraine’s largest export categories were grain crops ($3.99B), oils and fats ($3.16B), and oilseeds ($996M). Currently, 85.5% of Ukrainian businesses supply their products to the EU, 11.1% to Turkey, and only 0.4% to China. Despite the ongoing war, over 80% of exporters continue to sell abroad, although the pace of export volume recovery remains slow. Additionally, 24.3% of businesses report no problems with exports. Ukraine and Egypt are collaborating to increase the supply of Ukrainian agricultural products, particularly grain and sunflower oil, to the Egyptian market. In the first half of the year, Egypt imported Ukrainian goods worth $776.5M.
